Hi folks. If you are also get bored with the Old facebook login page like me and want to get rid off it then keep reading. By using a simple extension you can put any image as background of facebook login page

This trick works only on Google chrome. Sorry to other browser users but I promise to bring this trick for Firefox users sooner.

Just follow the simple steps to configure your page:

• Download the FB refresh extension from Chrome web store. click here.
• select Add to Chrome. It'll automatically get attach with your chrome.
• Now reopen your browser and go to www.facebook.com. You'll see the default image as background.

Don't you like this default image..?? Yeah you can replace it with an Image of your choice. Keep reading folks...

• go to an image hosting site. I would suggest you to use Picasa or Flickr
• There upload your image and copy its URL
• In you chrome browser click on settings > Tools > Extensions then on FB refresh select option you'll see something like this.

• Now enter your URL in the box which you copied on step 5 and click save.

Finally you are DONE. Just reopen the browser to see the changes. Enjoy your new Facebook login page.

Q: How do I tell if I am already a hacker?

A: Ask yourself the following three questions:

• Do you speak code, fluently?
• Do you identify with the goals and values of the hacker community?
• Has a well-established member of the hacker community ever called you a hacker?

If you can answer yes to all three of these questions, you are already a hacker. No two alone are sufficient.

Q: Will you teach me how to hack?

A: Since first publishing this page, I've gotten several requests a week (often several a day) from people to "teach me all about hacking". Unfortunately, I don't have the time or energy to do this; my own hacking projects, and working as an open-source advocate, take up 110% of my time.

Even if I did, hacking is an attitude and skill you basically have to teach yourself. You'll find that while real hackers want to help you, they won't respect you if you beg to be spoon-fed everything they know.

Learn a few things first. Show that you're trying, that you're capable of learning on your own. Then go to the hackers you meet with specific questions.

Q: How can I get started, then?

A: The best way for you to get started would probably be to go to a LUG (Linux user group) meeting. You can find such groups on the LDP General Linux Information Page; there is probably one near you, possibly associated with a college or university. LUG members will probably give you a Linux if you ask, and will certainly help you install one and get started.

Q: When do you have to start? Is it too late for me to learn?

A: Any age at which you are motivated to start is a good age. Most people seem to get interested between ages 15 and 20, but I know of exceptions in both directions.

Q: How long will it take me to learn to hack?

A: That depends on how talented you are and how hard you work at it. Most people who try can acquire a respectable skill set in eighteen months to two years, if they concentrate. Don't think it ends there, though; in hacking (as in many other fields) it takes about ten years to achieve mastery. And if you are a real hacker, you will spend the rest of your life learning and perfecting your craft.

Q: Would you help me to crack a system, or teach me how to crack?

A: No. Anyone who can still ask such a question after reading this FAQ is too stupid to be educable even if I had the time for tutoring. Any emailed requests of this kind that I get will be ignored or answered with extreme rudeness.

Q: I've been cracked. Will you help me fend off further attacks?

A: No. Every time I've been asked this question so far, it's been from some poor sap running Microsoft Windows. It is not possible to effectively secure Windows systems against crack attacks; the code and architecture simply have too many flaws, which makes securing Windows like trying to bail out a boat with a sieve. The only reliable prevention starts with switching to Linux or some other operating system that is designed to at least be capable of security.

Q: I'm having problems with my Windows software. Will you help me?

A: Yes. Go to a DOS prompt and type "format c:". Any problems you are experiencing will cease within a few minutes.

Q: Where can I find some real hackers to talk with? 

A: The best way is to find a Unix or Linux user's group local to you and go to their meetings (you can find links to several lists of user groups on the LDP site at ibiblio).

(I used to say here that you wouldn't find any real hackers on IRC, but I'm given to understand this is changing. Apparently some real hacker communities, attached to things like GIMP and Perl, have IRC channels now.)

Q: Can you recommend useful books about hacking-related subjects?

A: I maintain a Linux Reading List HOWTO that you may find helpful. The Loginataka may also be interesting.

For an introduction to Python, see the tutorial on the Python site.

Q: What language should I learn first? 

A: XHTML (the latest dialect of HTML) if you don't already know it. There are a lot of glossy, hype-intensive bad HTML books out there, and distressingly few good ones. The one I like best is HTML: The Definitive Guide.

But HTML is not a full programming language. When you're ready to start programming, I would recommend starting with Python. You will hear a lot of people recommending Perl, but it's harder to learn and (in my opinion) less well designed.

C is really important, but it's also much more difficult than either Python or Perl. Don't try to learn it first.

Windows users, do not settle for Visual Basic. It will teach you bad habits, and it's not portable off Windows. Avoid.

Q: I want to contribute. Can you help me pick a problem to work on? 

A: No, because I don't know your talents or interests. You have to be self-motivated or you won't stick, which is why having other people choose your direction almost never works.

Try searching on web for projects. When you see one that makes you think "Cool! I'd like to work on that!", join it. check Freshmeat

Access the Internet through Notepad, Wordpad etc

Yes. Now you can access the Internet through almost all the utilities provided by windows. You can try this trick if some sites are blocked on your PC. Sometimes it happens that a virus may malfunction the IE properties which   results in the improper functioning of it, by this trick you can access the Internet and may recover from it.

Here I'm taking the example of Notepad. This trick can be applied on many applications like Notepad, Wordpad, Calculator etc.

3. Use VPN service to change your IP:

     This is probably the best way to change your IP address. There are many free services on Internet to serve you for this purpose:

Risk in Anonymous Proxy:

     While using a proxy server, all the data send to the service being used must pass through the proxy server before send to the main server. It is therefore possible, for a malicious proxy server to record all your personal data including your logins and passwords. So use it carefully.

Advance Windows XP Tips and Tricks

1. Change Logon Wallpaper:

  Logon wallpaper is the wallpaper or image that windows xp shows on screen when windows logs on (before it asks for username & password) . By Default it is set to a Blue Screen. Using the Following trick you can set any Image there (any bmp file).

Click > Start > Run > type regedit.

In that hierarchical structure in left, navigate to registry entry

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop

There in the Right Side window you can see a Lot of Values. Scroll down and Fine the entry named Wallpaper. Double click on it and change the Value data > path of your bmp file (which you want to set as Wallpaper) eg: C:\WINDOWS\Lol.bmp (where Lol.bmp is your desired pic).

 Also Change the Value of WallpaperStyle to 2 so that your image can Stretch to the Full Screen.

If you have a jpeg file, then Convert its Extension to a '.bmp' file

2. Hide The drives (C,D........) from my Computer:

  This is one of the Best Tricks to Play With Friends. By Making a Simple Change in Windows Registry you can Hide all the Drives from My Computer. Follow the Steps:

 Click > Start > Run > type regedit.

 now go to - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

 There in the Right Windows create a new DWORD item named NoDrives (it is case sensitive) Now Modify its Value and set it to 3FFFFFF. Now Restart you PC.. Go to My Computer and Feel the Magic :P In order to display the Devices again delete this NoDrives key and Restart ur PC.

3. Get XP Product key from the CD:

  There is a Simple Way to get the XP product key from the CD itself.

  Just Explore the CD Normally.

  open the Folder i386

  there open the File UNATTEND.TXT and Scroll down to the Last Line.

  There you can find the Key. Now, you never have to worry about the product key in case you lost.

4. Disable Recent History Documents:

  Every time when you boot up your PC the Windows XP has to calculate that what should put in Recent Documents History, which can slow down the Speed.

 Click > Start > Run > type regedit.

 go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Here in the Right Window create a new DWORD item NoRecentDocsHistory. and set its Value to 1. Click OK and Restart your Computer. Now you will feel the Difference.

5. Speed up your Internet upto 20% :

   The Crap microsoft reserves around 20% of your bandwidth for their own purpose like windows updates etc....

Time to take it back. :P

go to > Start > Run > type gpedit.msc.

In the Pop up window go to > Local Computer Policy. > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > QOS Packet Scheduler > Limit Reservable Bandwidth. double Click on it. It'll say it not configured.. but the text 'Explain' tab reveal the truth.

Now you have To Enable it and set the Value to ZERO. Now the Windows will Store nothing and you will get your 20% back to your Work.

6. Remove Shared Documents Folder from my Computer:

   In order to remove the Shared Documents Folder follow the steps below..

 go to > Start > Run > type regedit.

 navigate to the Key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ My Computer \ NameSpace \ DelegateFolders

There in the Right Window you can find a key name {59031a47-3f72-44a7-89c5-595fe6b30ee}.

Delete this key and Restart you PC. Now you have successfully removed the Shared Documents Folder.

7. What is RUN registry key ??

   You can start or end programs from executing at bootup by adding or deleting them

to/from the run Keys in the Registry. Windows executes programs to start in the following order; Program listed in the Local Machine hive, then the Current User hive, then the Win.ini "Run" and "Load" lines and then finally programs of your Start Up folder.

To add or remove programs in the Registry.Open RegEdit. .Go to the desired Key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Micrsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices

Add a new String Value and name it anything you like. For the value data, enter the path and executable for the program you want to run.

By adding the value to the KEY_CURRENT_USER hive instead allows the program to start only when that user is logged on. If you add the value to the RunOnce key the program will run once and be removed from the key by Windows.

Note: Editing the Registry may can effect your windows (not in most cases). So Its better to create a Restore Point before making any Changes to the registry. And ENJOY the editing..!!!! ::)

Install JDK and Run The First JAVA Program

Hi Folks. Now its Time get The hands on Some Real Core Part Of Programming.These Days I'm messing with Programming in JAVA. So I just Thought to Write this Article on Installing the JDK(Java Development Kit). Without much wait lets get our hands on JAVA..

You Can Download the JDK1.6.0 from here

Once You get the file extract it and click on the main setup File.

Click-> Accept

Then Click-> Next

and now the installation Start

Once its Finish.. The installation of Java Run Time Environment also start 

Click-> Next

Once the installation is Over. Click -> Finish.Hence The Installation of JDK is Finish. Its Time To configure it

Now, Right Click->My Computer. Select Properties.

Then select->Advanced Tab->Environment Variables

From Environment Variables.. in System Variables box select->path

then click->Edit

Then at the end in the Variable Value Box Type:

   C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0\bin;  

Remember To Put the Semicolon(;) at the End of Line. 

Then Press OK. Now the JDK is Configured Properly.  :)

Compile and Execute The JAVA program :

Now Lets Try to Run our First JAVA Program.

Open Notepad and type the Following Code

Now, Save As->First.java

Say we Save this File at the Location- E:\Java (where Java is the name of a Folder)

Now go to->Run. Type-> cmd

You will see the Command Prompt Window.

Now Follow the Commands From the Image below.

Command To Compile The File is -> javac First.java

Command To Execute The File is -> java First.

Now, Finally you See the Output as-> Hello World !!

That's it.

Remove The Windows Genuine Authentication Error

hey guys, Have you updated your copy of Windows and received the "This copy of Windows is not genuine" notification. Now Obviously You want to get rid of it.. 

First Take A Look what the Real problem is.

The Windows Genuine Authentication notification checks whether you have a genuine copy of Windows registered for the computer or Not. It permits you to update your computer with the Windows updates. If you have installed it, and you do not have a genuine copy of Windows XP installed (which is Obvious in your case :P), then you may notice an icon at the bottom of your window before you Login. It will make you wait three seconds before allowing you to login. And Keep Remain on your Desktop and Also can stop your Wallpapers on Desktop.

• Restart your computer and boot into safe mode (press F8 while you restart your computer)
• In Safe mode go to C:\Windows\System32\
• Search for WgaTray.exe and Delete it.
• Now go to C:\Windows\System32\dllcache\ and delete WgaTray.exe here also

Here The Windows Registry is Also Gets Affected by WGA..So We have to Fix it Too..

• Click-> Start Button > Run and type regedit and then press enter.
• Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify and delete the WGALOGON folder.

That's it you're done. Now reboot your PC and enjoy the windows but don't forget to disable your updates this time.
